Who We Are

Bright Eye Organisation is in the process of becoming a registered Organisation with charitable purposes. Our aim is to provide support to vulnerable people with disabilities' in Kenya to access health and education services.

Previously, fundraising has provided  mobility equipment, such as an adapted wheelchair to enable people to travel outside their home safely considering the uneven terrain of roads in Kenya, a walking frame, transport to and from a facility that assessed people for wheelchairs and moulded seating, specially made seats to improve posture when eating and reduce pain and discomfort. We have also been able to provide a water filter, to ensure availability of clean drinking water, toothbrushes, toothpaste, first aid training and a first aid kit, along with medical treatment that has been needed on an as and when basis.

Education

We are currently supporting SCOM centre for people with disabilities, homing an number of individuals who would benefit from teaching. Due to the cost of special needs education, they do not currently have access to this.

Our aim is to raise the funds to cover the cost of hiring a full time teacher, who could cater for the needs of all those requiring education at the centre. Support our aim  via the link below;  https://www.crowdfunder.co.uk/p/educational-access-to-children-with-disabilities

Sponsorshop

With many families living in poverty and unable to provide care for relatives with disabilities at home, the we aim to offer sponsorship opportunities to enable individuals with disabilities to have a safe place to stay, where food, clean water, therapy and healthcare requirements will be provided.

Healthcare

Healthcare in Kenya costs, whether it is accessed by a private, government or community facility. It is identified in the Kenyan Constitution as a basic human need but unfortunately remains inaccessible to many.
